This year’s show was our busiest so far, with over 300 people attending the one day event. This year we had the show at a new location, the Richmond Rod and Gun Club in Richmond, and this proved to be an excellent venue. Just a short walk from the Aberdeen Station in Richmond, close to all amenities and with free on site parking, we’re looking forward to holding next year’s show at this same location.
I’d like to thank everyone who attended, both the vendors and the walk-ins, as well as the good folks at News1130 who were so kind include the show in their community events announcements during the day. Hats off to News 1130. If you don’t listen to News 1130 here in Vancouver, you’re missing out! And a big thank you to YVR SkyTalk for also doing a great job in helping us promote the event to the YVR community.
This year we sold out our vendor tables and the room was bursting with early 50 packed-to-the-rafters tables of all sorts of aviation collectibles, including something for everyone. Models, postcards, DVDs, stickers, pins, books, log books, old aircraft manuals, uniforms from the 50s and 60s, uniform badges, and even hand made weather vans shapes after famous aircraft, made by AirVane.
If you are interested in attending next year’s event as a walk-in or table holder, be sure to check the VancouverAviationShow.com website and get in touch.
