Airliner World, January, 2008

Being the little brother to the Boeing 707, the Boeing 720 was a rare aircraft. It was not as popular as the Boeing 707 and built in far few numbers.

By 2007, the type had become more or less extinct, with only two operational airframes remaining on the planet. Both of which were used as engine testbeds.

Honeywell of Phoenix agreed to allow me to video document their aircraft prior to its retirement and eventually scrapping, and for three days in early February of 2007, myself and Tony Hickey shot nearly 20 hours of video on their amazing jetliner.

I also prepared several articles for aviation magazines, one of which appeared in Airliner World magazine, as presented below.

Jetstream International, November, 2007

In February, 2007, Honeywell’s flight test division in Phoenix welcomed my visit to document their Boeing 720 flight test operation. My good friend Tony Hickey also joined me on this once-in-a-lifetime project.

The primary focus of the visit was to video document the operation for a series of Honeywell Boeing 720 DVDs that highlight this amazing aircraft in the yeoman days of its service.

However, numerous articles were written for the aviation press, and the following article was translated into German and appeared in the Swiss aviation magazine Jetstream International.
