On November 21, 1992, airline videographer Henry Tenby flew aboard LAP Air Paraguay’s DC-8-63 from Santiago, Chile, over the snow-capped Andes, to Asuncion, Paraguay.
This thirty-six minute program takes the viewer along for the ride, enjoying take-off, in-flight, and landing from the very best seat in the house, just forward of the engines.
In addition to onboard footage, this program also presents exterior footage of noisy engine starts, push back, taxi, and take-off.
LAP’s DC-8-63 came from Air Canada in the mid-1980s, which had earlier been upgraded with a wide-body interior.
