WANTED: Old 16mm promo films from Air Canada / TCA / CPA / Canadian Pacific Airlines Do you have old 1950s or 1960s aviation films that are sitting around collecting dust and you don't know what to do with them? We are hoping to produce two historical aviation DVD titles that look back at the history of TCA/Air Canada and Canadian Pacific Air Lines during the 50s and 60s. As such, we are seeking old airline promo films (preferably 16mm) that were produced by the airlines, as well as by the aircraft manufacturers, airports, and even IATA and other industry organizations during the period. In exchange for the temporary use of your old films, we will provide you with a free copy of your film in DVD format, as well as a copy of the historical DVDs if we are able to source enough footage to produce the DVDs. Not only will the footage on these old films be preserved digitally for the viewing enjoyment of future aviation fans and historians, it would otherwise never see the ligh of day as film starts to break down as it ages, and our efforts to preserve and share this footage is of great historical value. Sadly, neither the airlines nor the Canadian Aviation Museum in Ottawa will respond to our requests for assistance in this regard, so we are hoping that enough interesting footage can be sourced from private individuals through this webpage. As a side note, we are also looking for old 35mm colour slides of aircraft taken in the 1950s and 60s which we use to illustrate our DVD productions. We pay cash for old aircraft slides, and welcome slide collections large and small.
